The short version: we only use your details to answer you, we don’t sell them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Who we are
Shokumu, a company still being set up, at Dendermondesteenweg 714, 9070 Destelbergen, Belgium. We’re responsible for your data. You can reach us at hello@shokumu.com.
What we collect and why
When you fill in the contact form or email us, we get your name, your email address and whatever you tell us. We use it to answer you and follow up on your question. That’s it: no newsletters, no selling it on.
We need your name and email to reply. Everything else is up to you. We’re allowed to use your details because you asked us to get in touch, and answering business questions is a normal part of running a company (art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Who else sees it
Only the services we use to run Shokumu: HubSpot, where we keep track of our contacts, Microsoft 365 for email, and the company that hosts this website, which keeps short-lived technical logs, like IP addresses, to keep the site secure. All of them store your data in the EU and may only use it for us. If one of them needs to look at it from outside the EU, for example for support, they’re bound by the EU’s standard contract rules for that.
How long we keep it
Up to two years after we last spoke. If you become a customer, we keep it for as long as we work together and the law requires.
Cookies
None. This website doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t track you.
Your rights
You can ask us what we have about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask us to stop using it, or get a copy to take elsewhere. Just email hello@shokumu.com; we’ll answer within a month. If you’re not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority at dataprotectionauthority.be.
